Rhinebeck, NY Farmers Market – A Great Place to Visit
What a wonderful way to spend a lazy Sunday morning! Rhinebeck, NY has many wonderful shops and restaurants every day of the week but on Sundays from Memorial Day to mid October the village comes alive with the Farmer’s Market.

The Farmer’s Market in Rhinebeck takes place in the municipal parking lot in the middle of the Village of Rhinebeck from 10A to 2PM. A wide assortment of vendors set up their “wares” and the scene is a feast for the senses. There are wonderful smells, colors, textures, tastes and sounds.
This season my husband and I visited the market many Sundays. There are many wonderful vendors that allow you to sample their products. Breezy Hill Orchards makes wonderful home made fruit pies. Spacey Tracys has awesome pickles and relishes. Three local wineries were at the market this Sunday: Alison Vinyards, Clinton Vinyards and Cascade Mountain Wineries. They all make very affordable and pleasing local wines. Clinton Vineyards makes a Cassis which is sweet and goes down really smooth.

Our Daily Bread had a long line of folks waiting for their fresh bread and rolls and Mead Orchards and Migliorelli Farms served up colorful fresh fruits and vegetables. If you are looking for truly stunning fresh flowers to decorate your home stop by The River Garden for a huge selection of flowers in even color imaginable.
There are many other vendors at the market with wonderful products so why not stop by, sample their wares and my guess is you won’t leave empty handed!
Update: Beginning in July the Farmer’s Market is now open on Thursdays in the same location (the municipal parking lot) from 3PM to 7PM. Now you can have fresh produce and many of the other products sold at the market mid week in addition to Sundays!
